Problem Note 44144: SAS® OLAP Server might stop responding after installing SAS® 9.2 Audit and Performance Measurement

DetailsAboutRate It

After installing the SAS 9.2 Audit and Performance Measurement package, the OLAP Server might encounter performance issues or become unresponsive.

To circumvent this problem, you can edit the logging options for Audit and Performance Measurement. The default location for the file to edit is <SAS-config-dir>/Lev1/SASApp/OLAPServer/logconfig.apm.xml. In this file, you must change the ManageCorrelators value to "False". The resulting code block should look similar to the following:

   <appender name="ARM" class="ARMAppender">
      <param name="ManageCorrelators" value="False"/>
      <param name="AppName" value="OLAPServer"/>
      <param name="GroupName" value="SAS"/>
      <appender-ref ref="ARM2LOG"/>
      <appender-ref ref="PerfARM4"/>
   </appender>

After making this change, restart your OLAP server.
